Community Tasting Note

  • PSUSteve Does not like this wine: 89 points

September 18, 2013 - Decanted for an hour. This was more balanced than the last time. Cherries with minerals and a green element. Not bad but not what I was looking for.

9/21/13, 2:52 PM - Just wondering if what you didn't care for was a bit of a jammy effervescence? If so, you might try a "vigorous" decant instead of a regular one - pouring it back and forth a couple times with some gusto, in order to release the trapped CO2. I discovered this trick for Phelps Pinots (and a few other producers) recently, and it makes a big difference for me.
