  July 20, 2013 - Some Cote de Nuits 2007 at the Cottage: The "second wine" of the 1er Cru Clos de la Marechale, a Mugnier monopole. Quite light on the colour, but that rarely means much. Somewhat understated at first, giving dry red fruits. Opened up and worked very well with food, earthy aromas and a whiff of spice emerged. Not exactly a thrill-ride, but a well balanced and -made classic Burgundy. Thumbs up.
