October 19, 2013 - Decanted 3 hours, consumed over 6 hours. I have always been hesitant to revisit this wine, as it was so extraordinary the first time around and I was fearful that it couldn't get any better. for now, in sorry to say that I was right. plush and deeply fruited, but too much alcohol, especially on the back end. it picked up some gamey and earthy aromas and flavors as the night wore on, and I did find myself enjoying it more and more, but it's not as good right now as it will be in another few years. if scoring this bottle, 89-91.
