October 24, 2013 - Put me in the dissenters camp. I can see the appeal but my tastes have just moved too far from this style. Ripe, big, brown sugar, soft. Ann on the other hand loved it. I checked the website to see what the percentage of syrah might be, or if there is any, but it doesn't say anything about other varieties. It also doesn't say 100% Pinot on the fact sheet. Anyone have any insight? I'd sell my remaining KB but I'm afraid Ann would not be happy.

10/25/13, 7:18 AM - It has been my understanding for many years that blending anything with pinot noir is sinful. I would be stunned if a serious producer such as KB "tainted" any of their bottlings.

10/25/13, 9:12 AM - jeagle, thanks for responding. Someone on wineberskers also said there was no syrah in this. It is pretty big and plump so it made me curious. By law it only has to be 75% pinot. I was surprised though that it did not say 100% pinot on the wine fact sheet on their website though.

10/25/13, 12:57 PM - I can only conjecture that KB would consider 100% pinot noir a given, much like the true Burgundians. The mere thought of tampering is heinous akin to the evil incarnate in the Harry Potter series whose name must not be spoken. I subscribe to several other pinot producers who, as I recall, do specify 100% pinot noir on their specifications.
