November 2, 2013 - A big, brooding, monstrous beast of a wine. Floral moves to tar and then iron on the nose. The longer it sits open, the more brooding it gets. The palate is still tightly wound, concentrated and dark. With a mix of white truffle courses (risotto, scrambled eggs, roast chicken), it was absolutely delectable and balanced very well against the earthy food.
