May 20, 2013 - A concentrated wine with a dark core and youthful crimson border. Aromatically the wine is still a bit reserved but there is a wonderful bouquet of plums, blackberries, licorice, roasted meats, incense, burnt earth, and oriental spices. It displays its huge full bodied structure on the palate revealing flavors of plums, blackberries, dark cherries, on the entry that give way to dark chocolate coated raspberries, and roasted meats on the mid palate. The finish is very long dominated by polished sweet tannins, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, and crushed stones. You can literally feel its upper echelon pedigree, this has impeccable balance, elegance, and power.
