November 23, 2013 - I was well aware that this was too young - although I was curious to see how different this would be from the 2007. And what a difference a year with lots of sun can be.. I was missing the fruit, or just having to Put Up with too much acidity. I hope that a 3-5 years of cellaring will make this wine become more balanced, and hopefully a better experience than the 07. Difficult to rate - 89 today, 90-92 in a few years?

11/23/13, 10:54 AM - Thanks for your thorough investigation on the current standing of this young wine, and for sharing your findings. We decided to get only one btl of this vintage, and to rely on CT for pin pointing its peak according to our tastes.
So far, our guess from reading is 2023, but we're definitely not religious about the year and will adjust our drinking date along this wine's reported trajectory over the years to come.
We hope you enjoyed it today and that you will enjoy it even more in the future. Cheers!

11/25/13, 7:15 AM - Hi Stefan - thanks for that.
Problem is that by 2023 it might be difficult to find more bottles of the Albe 2008 as easily as it is now in Sweden - that is if you will enjoy it by then. At 189 SEK I beleive this will be a very good buy ..to enjoy over many years going forward. I will definately stock up on more. Although not in a big rush :D

11/25/13, 8:04 AM - When it's time to enjoy our single btl of this, there will also be other btls... Checking out CT, we have already tentatively scheduled 83 btls for drinking in 2023... So we need to be a little self-disciplined with procurement :-(

11/27/13, 6:51 AM - What an awesome 'problem'.. My cellar is more limited than yours, so, I still need to stock up on wines for the 2020:s.. :)
