May 31, 2007 - I think this is one of those "love it or dislike it" kind of wines; I liked it, though it's not my favorite (by a long shot) and future bottles will sit for a long while before opening. Shiraz Guy's notes from back in March of '07 are spot on and identical to my thoughts/views on the wine, though I've rated it slightly lower. It was DEFINITELY was better the second day after opening and probably would have been fine the first day with a 4+ hours of decanting. I found that the fruit and spice flavors came through much better on the second day and overall it was a more integrated and enjoyable wine.
I think it's a good value and worth considering if you're into powerful Aussie Shiraz's. That said, I'd recommend sitting on your stash for awhile or, if you want to give it a burl now, decant it for several hours prior to consuming.4,282 views
