December 5, 2013 - I think 2011 was a tough year; this wine shows some of the struggle. Medium black cherry color with a bit of orange. Oak, white pepper, and cherry nose. Brisk on the palate, light-bodied, with tart red berry flavors and spicy notes. Finishes quickly with a bit of grip and very low tannins. Worthy and drinkable.

3/19/14, 9:59 PM - Interesting. Based on what I was tasting, I thought 2011 was not a great year as well. Not being from Lodi, I asked my good friend Google for some help. Apparently, 2011 was a banner year for wine in the Lodi region--like once in a decade or more good. Perhaps that was just wine industry propaganda...
