January 2, 2014 - Rich golden color, unusual buttersotch, honey, apricot, dusty old chest nose. Old flowers, candle wax, soft acidity, and broad, waxy palate. The disconnect between the sweetness on the nose and dry palate reminds me of dry tokaji, while the softness of the acidity and waxy flowers reminds me of old white Hermitage or something. Weird stuff, but kinda enjoyable for a 20 year old Fiano.
