  January 4, 2014 - Medium garnet color. Light-medium body. The palate is marked by tart red fruit with touches of creamy oak in the background. This is an austere and thin wine; two hours of air help to soften and fill it out some, but not entirely. It always remains simple and rustic. This practically demands food to accompany it. (We had spaghetti.) Not a spectacular wine, but it has character.
