    January 10, 2014 - I enjoyed this wine, and it's a very pleasant red-fruited pinot.

Just for laughs, I'll provide a few tasting notes below, written in the style of a few prominent critics:

    Allen Meadows style:
Here, a deft touch of new wood frames a cool and fairly detailed nose of red pinot fruit, which gives way to pleasantly focused and refined middle-weight flavors of cherry and citrus-inflected raspberry. There is a light but noticeable coating of dry extract on the medium-length finish, which shows decent transparency and persistence. While this is not a large or particularly elegant offering, it certainly provides plenty of pleasure, and for its level, is really quite good. 85-86

    Stephen Tanzer style:
Medium ruby pink. Simple, but pleasantly perfumed bouquet of red cherry, raspberry, citrus peel and light oak. At once, juicy and forward on the palate, with focused red fruit and oak flavors, finishing with a hint of minerals and good acidic lift. 86

    Harvey Steiman style:
Light, juicy, and focused, showing red cherry, orange peel, and raspberry flavors on an open-textured frame. The flavors all linger on the lingery lingering finish, which lingers nicely. Drink now through 2017. 88

    James Suckling style:
Nearly black in color. I love the aromas of currant, tar, apricots, and bay leaf. Silky and suave, with loads of ripe tannins on the long finish. Best ever from this estate. One-hundred percent Merlot. Try after 1994. 97 points.
