  January 14, 2014 - This wine smells like it has already aged for quite a while. On the nose offers dark chocolate, dark sugar, caramel, dried prunes, blackberry preserves, violets, caramel. It is also earthy and herbal and shows an oxidized smell, aldehydes, like sherry smell but not in an offensive way. On the palate it offers fine grain tannin and the finish is long. I might have gotten an off bottle but still drank decently.
