  January 19, 2014 - Dark garnet with a burgundy hue. Nose of dark red fruits & plum, strong presence of tobacco with nuances of chocolate, blackcurrant and a hint of spicy oak. Light and lively on entrance, beautifully smooth, seamless transition with light tannins. Medium mouthfeel, almost jammy, stopping just short, making the wine savoury with a lip smacking fruitiness. The wine has elegance, gradually building on the body as it moves along. This culminates in a medium length finish, lined with a little vegetal aftertaste. A wine good to drink on its own and goes well with lighter red meats & pasta.
