January 26, 2014 - 500ml bottle, zalto universal stem, glass poured off then decanted. Nose is super primary, mostly ripe red fruit, bit of sweet cigar smokiness. Palate seems a bit darker, a bit simple but with integrated tannins and lovely acidity. After a few hours in the decanter it really starts to blossom. Nose is lovely and almost feminine with great floral notes which carry the fruit effortlessly. Palate is crazy vibrant, incredible tension and energy. Bright and energentic, almost an electric mouthfeel with incredible freshness. Not a hard edge to be found, tannins play with the acidity perfectly. Dense and concentrated, not heavy in any which way, it's all about the balance here. Plenty of fruit , and acid/tannin harmony to let these age, excited to see what these do with some cellar time.
