February 15, 2014 - An opaque wine with bright crimson hue on the edge, very aromatic with violets, dark fruits, roasted meats, and black pepper. A full bodied silky textured wine that displays sweet dark cherries, blackberries, ripe plum flavors on entry, the midpalate has refreshing acidity that continue on to the long lasting spicy finish. The finish has pronounced tannin, crushed black pepper, a slight green herbal note, with hints of sweet vanilla, and racy minerality. This is delicious right now especially with some grilled beef, but this still needs time to open up.
