November 8, 2013 - This bottle performed very well considering that there were a few of Bordeaux first growths on the table. As a matter of taste, it has a beautiful fruit layer that covering different ends of the spectrum, mixed with different spices. These old Napa wines are always a real treat.

7/9/15, 4:07 PM - I plan on pooping one of these lovely ladies in mid-August with the best man in my wedding.

Thinking about a double decant. One hour in a decanter, than pouring it back into the bottle and surprising my best man with the bottle as we go for an early morning fishing trip.

    Any thoughts?

I tasted it with Robert Pavlovich and Wine-strategies, whom you messaged regarding the decant time. I concur with them. Your bottle might have different evolution profile than the one we had, so I would suggest to pour it in the decanter, taste it, and decide if you want to leave it in the decanter for an hour.

Personally, for my preference, I would not leave the wine in the decanter. I would briefly double decant the bottle a few hours before dining, cork it back, and enjoy the wine over an hour or two at dinner.
