  April 5, 2014 - A Flight of 2005 CDPs: The 2005 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Chaupin is definitely the star of the flight - dark purple in colour with a garnet rim. The sweet nose boasts of dark berries, ground pepper notes and dried rose petals.
  
  On the palate, the wine displays blackcurrant notes with dried rose petals before a mid-palate of peppery notes. Impeccable balance there. Very pleasant. Tannins are super fine with a medium (+) finish. Drank this wine over 6 hours and definitely did not lose any of its structure and style. Only gets better with time. Too young to drink today, and a lot more patience would reward those who wait. (92+)
