Community Tasting Note

April 8, 2014 - Fairly dark red. Sort of muted nose, not giving much, some blackberry and cherry, earthy notes. On the palate, it's a bit lean and thin and a bit alcoholic at the same time. Bad phase I'd say, but this bottle really wasn't much fun.

Much better after three days open. The nose is a tiny bit dusty, but it's much more open and the fruit is much more defined now. Also better in the mouth, likewise more open, more harmonic and with more Gamay character. I'm hopeful that three or four years cellartime will do this wine good.
