popped and poured and drank over 2 days or so

robe - nice dark core with a tinge of orange around the rim. starting to show some age
nose - the nose goes strong for 2 days. right from the get go, dark fruit, old leather, tobac, some older oak. surely showing it age on the nose
palate - very well balanced, showing well right from the gate, dusty tannins, healthy acid, gives lift and energy. this is well into stage two with dark fruits and spice along with a little earthy notes and bark. well balanced and good length.
notes - i bought 3 or 4 bottles of this a few years ago and it has been showing well through out. one more btl sits in my cellar and i will open it in the next year or two. tasted blind, one might see this as an aged btl of traditional rioja. good times!

    drink from now to 2017
