Community Tasting Note

  • smorris291 Likes this wine: 90 points

May 15, 2014 - Almost purple in the glass. Fruit forward, but not jammy, yet there was a smoky, charred note in the background. Med minus acidity. Initially thought this could be 91-92 pts, but ended up keeping it lower because of the lack of acidity and the fact that is just never fully opened up like I thought it would.

5/16/14, 11:30 AM - Thanks for the note. I have a bottle of this in my cellar - any thoughts on when is the best time to open?

5/16/14, 11:59 AM - I think you could open any time, really. Tons of life left on it, but it was really good last night. My only suggestion is that you try to decant it a while before you drink it...I think that would only improve it.
