  August 17, 2014 - PnP then decanted. Still very dark. Nose very classically cabernet sauvignon with some herbal/bell pepper notes that informed its varietal character (as opposed to the scents that can dominate an unripe cabernet). Very rich entry, dark fruits with some plumcake and spice overture. Sweet tannins that softened over the hour and a half. Put on some weight as it opened. Nice finish with fruit that persisted. Not a ton of complexity but overdelivered pure cabernet fruit for $20. Drink over the next couple of years as the fruit overshadows the acidity and tannin.
