August 20, 2007 - I admit a significant bias in favor of Clos des Goisses. Moderate+ mousse light golden color. Light saline nose with citrus melange, pears, some melons and tiny bits of nuttiness. Moderate amount of acidity. It is true to its' pedigree and a fine wine, big shouldered wine. It does not possess the expansive mouth filling mid palate of the 96. A bit more austere in fruit than 96 as well. Pretty impressive finish. Very nice wine, but if you must choose...buy all the 96 you can afford. Buy this to keep your hands off the 96.
