September 7, 2014 - With high expectation on this vintage, but end up we're quite disappointed on it. The nose is so closed even after half an hour of breathing. So tight and the fruit seems diminished. A little bit acidic and make it quite unbalanced. We finished within 2 hours after opening and the wine become a little bit better but not a dramatic improvement. Maybe it suggest the wine should have more breathing time.

Usually Moulis needs an extra-time to bloom up, specially in an extraordinary vintage as 2000 is.
I think, according with my last experiences with 1998 Poujeaux and 2000 Maucaillou, to wait at least four years isn't a bad idea.
    Cheers!
