October 8, 2014 - 50+4+14+17+8 Decanted for an hour, rebottled and took to restaurant and decanted for another 30 minutes before drinking. On the nose were black plum, blackberry, asparagus, baking spice, hints of fall leaves. Silky mouth feel with balanced acidity. Tannins are integrating and there is still nice structure. Blackberry pie explodes on the palate and is followed by hints of vanilla, tobacco, and hints of sage. Hold for another 3-5 years before drinking again.

10/9/14, 4:01 PM - Was wondering about the status of these. Thanks for the note. What did you drink with this?

10/9/14, 4:14 PM - I didn't drink anything else but water with this. I had a filet mignon with truffle and gorgonzola and a cab reduction with it.
