    December 6, 2014 - PnP. Deep red. Exuberant cherry and sandalwood nose. Gutsy on the palate with deep fruit and tangy acidity but this must have some Merlot or another grape besides Sangiovese to be this juicy. Still some tannins to resolve on the finish but although atypical still enjoyable.

    12/7/14, 8:29 AM - FYI, the Castello di Bossi Berardo Riserva Chianti is always made from 100% Sangiovese. That's probably why I find it drinks very much like an "old school" Brunello. Cheers!

    Thanks - I can see your comparison to a Brunello; must be the ripeness of the vintage then, as this seems bigger and lower in acidity then I find other in Riservas, such as Felsina Rancia.
