December 13, 2014 - Champagne - 100 Vintage and NV Champagne; 12/15/2015-12/15/2020: During a vintage Champagne tasting at a Merchant. My note may look astronomic but in this tasting this was by far the best bottle. It stood, for my palate, miles apart from the rest. The only Champagne I kept coming back to and wowed me every time. Very subtle nose, discrete notes of flowers, mint, nuts and white fruit. elegant and complex. Also on the palate, impressed much more with the depth of the aroma and not just the bubbles. You could sense that this was a great white wine before it was turned into Champagne. Very fine perlage, very long. Terrific!
