December 29, 2014 - Very earthy, dull, mini-dimensional. Previous bottles that I had a few years ago were thin, narrow and simple. Another example of an hyped wine from G from a producer that needs JRs help to make it. A ripoff, in other words.

1/3/15, 12:59 PM - Rimmerman didn't make this wine, and based on other vintages, it does deserve its exalted reputation and I'm glad Garagiste sold me on this as it turned out to be a great lead. Years of 95+ ratings from the Wine Advocate helped the North American sales of TdL I'm sure, but it appears to have its own reputation within Italy, where I found it priced over $50 at several boutique wine merchants. Apparently these wines shut down in the bottle. Don't waste your money on something you don't like :)
