  January 15, 2015 - Earthy on the nose with some VA adding lift to the leather, cherry, and dirty barrel aromas. Lot's of acid in the mouth supports juicy, rusty raspberry fruit with the VA becoming apparent on the backend and through the finish. This is rather austere in the mouth, and one can sense the fruit fading faster than the tannins, though some attractive tart red fruits remain through the modest finish. This felt like it had seen excessive barrel age leading me to believe it was the Brunello.
