January 18, 2015 - I am beginning to believe, as others have written, that there may be tremendous bottle variation. I was very disappointed with my first bottle form this vintage back in August. But this bottle was a more a typical bottle of Caymus. Not sure 5 months can make that big a difference - thus the bottle variation theory. My first bottle was like Welch's grape juice. This was a more typical big, dark fruits, chocolate styled Caymus with nice finish. I hope the rest of these I have are more similar to this last bottle.

1/24/15, 1:02 PM - I actually gave away a couple of bottles as gifts after my first bad experience with '12. After now having a good bottle, I guess the jury is still out. Got 9 left. I like you, hope they continue to come around. Caymus has (up until 12) been the most consistent wine I have found. So my fingers are crossed.
