January 20, 2015 - Popped my last bottle tonight, and was a little surprised to note that this wine has already begun its decent. In fairness to the winemaker, this juice was never intended to be cellared for the medium to long-term.
Visually, mild bricking has begun. On the palette, the wine still has sweetness and texture, but the fruit has evolved to become port-like. Plums and prunes are everywhere. I was just about to buy another case, since I saw it on the market, but now, I'm staying away from the 09. I suggest that you do the same! If you have these in your cellars, its time to drink em.
The benefits of buying a case and drinking them over time…
