  September 23, 2014 - Clos du Mesnil is a constantly fantastic champagne, every vintage I have had the great pleasure to try (1985, 1988, 1998 and this 2000). Amazing richness and complexity. A bit like Vintage Krug, certainly having that same house style, but lighter and more fine-tuned (as can be expected from a blanc de blancs).
  This does not stand up to the 1980's vintages of this wine which I have tried, but still, for a still relatively young champagne from the fairly average vintage of 2000, it is still (to my palate, obviously) above most prestige cuvées of top vintages...
