October 1, 2007 - A tale of two noses - the initial nose gives some earthy, funky (in a good way) Cabernet.... which gives way to bell pepper. I typically associate bell pepper with underripe fruit, so I am a little suspicious. On the palate, it is a solid cab - but the bell pepper is there. The upside - the green, underripe streak isn't there, so I'm not sure what to make of it. It's almost as if they fermented with green bell peppers - a little off-putting, but not enough to ruin it (for me). I am not sure if this is a youth related issue (ie: drank too young) - but I have two more which I am going to try to forget about and see what happens. FWIW, I drank this over 3 nights and it was best on night 3, so it's a worthwhile project in my book.
