March 13, 2015 - A bit of bricking to pretty translucent red with a touch of orange. Initial nose of sandalwood, moist earth, shitake mushrooms. Moist earth and forest floor to start, which gives way to some plum, mushroom, cedar, tobacco. As others have said, a great mouthfeel - velvety and lush. This is a great wine.

3/19/15, 3:02 AM - Thanks for the comments. We bought last year at an Ex-Chateau auction, and we are looking forward to trying it soon. HB is our favourite 1st Growth. Our visit last year, along with a two hour lunch sipping, snacking and speaking with the managing director was one of the highlights of our wine lives!
