March 20, 2015 - Quite light color; strong aromas of cotton candy, buttered popcorn, greeness, alcohol; pungent flavors of lemon, apple, metal and plenty of heat. The strong acidity keeps this balanced. Full throttled CA chardonnay but no simple butter bomb. This should please the whole range of wine drinkers: on one end you've got your great aunt Ida and on the other is Dieter the bespectacled odd wine snob from the IT dept. Aunt Ida, "This is really good honey, could you get me a couple of ice cubes?" Dieter, "Das Californians fall very short of a 2007 1er Cru Puligny-Montrachet Les Caillert but I vill still drink this."
