  March 24, 2015 - A big wine that was tasty and interesting, but not quite elegant at age 11. Throwing a lot of sediment, the color was a lovely deep ruby red. The nose revealed violets, horse stable, and ended in washed linen. The mouthfeel was round with low acid through the finish. The tannins were very fine here with subtle dark berries, green vegetal notes and oak spice on the palate. The wine finished with bitter blackberry core/seeds and some menthol. This wine could last a few more years and I'm curious to see if it might improve.
