March 29, 2015 - Excellent effort by a second label in an "off" vintage. Winery direct as first bottle consumed a couple of weeks following shipment was muted with no expression at all. This bottle was very good after allowed to sleep on its side for 9 months.
Lovely aromatics of blue fruit and floral scents with a deep dark purple color that screams cab. Rewarded with an initial palate of expressive blue to dark fruit with a hint of graphite thrown in. The vintage completely mutes acidity and tannins a bit agressive leading to points deducted, but a really nice wine for the price point.
Side note: tasted the 2012 One Point Five at the winery and was the best offering of this label to date IMO.1 person found this helpful 2,979 views
