May 9, 2015 - PnP this Garagiste mystery Barbaresco.
Nose is shy, tart red cherry, new tupperware, orange rind, and violets.
Palate shows med bodied wine, lively acidity, firm and chewy tannins. Broad and deep flavors that fill in the mid palate beautifully, including sour red cherry up front, with faint, rich black cherry syrup flavors in the background, making it quite interesting. Tobacco, leather, faint anise, quite complex.
Will drink well now with a few hours in the decanter. Should drink well through 2022+. Delicious.
