June 20, 2015 - Decanted for 2 hours before having with a Father's Day dinner. This was a noticeable reddish brown which was surprising. On the nose - sage, pine needles, and generally spicy note with minimal fruit overtones. Good depth on the palate with a long classic Sangiovese high acid finish. I think this needs more time but the color is concerning. Went very well with a well-aged ribeye.

6/21/15, 9:34 AM - I just finished my last bottle of this 2007 (bought these to keep me away from my Conti Riserva BdM!) and wanted to voice my agreement with your review, especially on the points of seemingly-early bricking as well as pairing with aged ribeye. Cheers!
