July 3, 2015 - (Disgorged in spring of 2014) Light yellow colour with extremely fine and tiny bubbles. The nose shows lots of freshness with minerals, citrus and hazelnuts. This is drinking very well right now in the summer heat showing a lovely acidic citrus palate with distinct Granny Smith malic acid finish. Lovely!

12/19/15, 2:21 AM - I have same wine, Vintage 2008, but disgorgement is 0809 2015. Is it normal that Vintage wines come with different disgorge dates ?

12/19/15, 7:30 AM - Hi thass! I can't say that I'm an expert, but I have many vintage champagnes from both larger houses and growers that have their disgorgement 'spread out'. Having said that it also depends on the size of the production and whether the producer sells it all in one shorter period of time or spreads it out. Legras & Haas are selling 2008 over a longer period and instead of doing all their disgorgement work in one short round, they probably spread it out to complement the selling phase and to even-out the labor needed.
So, yes, for a producer or house selling a larger quantities of a vintage they most likely have the disgorgement spread out over more than 12 months. And sometimes for a period of several years.
Hope this was to any help!
    Best regards!
