August 10, 2015 - Consistent to my previous note. It is difficult to envision a smoother, sappier and more aromatic Barolo than this. Harsh Nebbiolo tannins, not here. Whenever I serve this to guests it is very popular! Barolo, Musigny style! Early in its drinking window. Outstanding.

8/11/15, 3:26 AM - Thanks for your note and rating. Wow, that good!? We have yet to pop open our bottles thinking they could use a few more years, minimum, in the cellar. You seem to be convinced this is sipping well right now. Interesting and thanks!

8/12/15, 7:11 AM - yes, very good, especially if you like your wines aromatic and elegant. A few more years wont hurt either.

8/13/15, 1:23 AM - Thanks! Interesting comment re pnp. Although we rarely decant - we open very early and let the wine rest/breathe in the bottle - we would have thought an hour or two would have assisted in bringing this one up to snuff. Thanks regarding waiting a few years...we will try ;-)

9/4/15, 10:06 PM - One of my absolute favorite vintages under MT Mascarello. So wonderfully elegant and poised for the long term. Yes the 2010's are powerful and media endorsed... but I am confident that 2008 will be one of the great unsung vintages appreciated by those who truly know and understand the beauty of classic Nebbiolo. So glad to see such positive notes on CT.
