  August 17, 2015 - Eddie Merlot Bloomfield Hills, MI - paired with Tenderloin Filet and King Crab legs. Popped, decanted and poured. Youth on the lightly stained cork. Beautiful dark fruit and spice on the nose; on the palate, fruit bomb of black berry, plumb, currant, Napa leather without the dust. A little heavy on the acidity, but maybe needs to mellow out a bit with the fruit for what is sure to be a great balance. Light tannins and heat. Could use a little more backbone. Finish was an impressive surprise! This wine will age well. Nice effort from the wine maker, hats off!
