September 29, 2015 - Took this a while to start to taste like a Burgundy. A while longer to start to show itself as a Fourrier. Started out as a dead-ringer for a young OR pinot. A little bit of white pepper, and some noticeable tannins initially. Eventually rounds out to a quite fruity and delicious Burgundy of decent complexity. This one was opened in the name of science; wait at least three years before diving in again.

10/2/15, 9:50 PM - Nothing wrong with drinking Fourrier village wines young, I love these wines young.

10/4/15, 9:36 PM - Agree! I always try to buy a few extra Fourriers to enable early tasting. Getting harder each year, of course.....

10/4/15, 9:53 PM - For some reasons, I always prefer Fourrier GC VV than MSD Clos Solon or Aux Echezeaux. Henri Jouan has an excellent Aux Echezaux village too.
