October 3, 2015 - Side by side tasting with Ridge, Montelana, Rivers Marie, Silver Oak, Mt Eden. I rated this as topping them all.

Slightly smoky. New world style. Unbelievable complexity with some Pinot style characteristics. It can be drunk now. Or hold for a few more years.

I can't see that it will get much better.

We had chicken satay, lamb, beef, and other appetizers with this wine. Others had ranked Montelana and Silver Oak 2nd and 3rd surprising to us all.

Lowest rank was the Rivers Marie 2012 Cab.

    All were outstanding.

10/4/15, 12:27 PM - Thanks for taking the time to review this. I've been sitting on mine, unsure of what to do with it. Will have to find an occasion to open it soon!
