  October 17, 2015 - Nose was amazing. One of those situations where the smell of flowers fills the room while the wine is decanted. Roasted meats and coffee follow. Really spectacular nose. Texturally, tannins are still present but mostly resolved. Very mature and ready. Flavor-wise, though, it was something of a disappointment. It wasn't as if the fruit had disappeared -- fruit was still there along with some earth -- it just presented as kind of flat. Not bad, but boring. Didn't really improve with air. Had higher hopes for this bottle.
