October 22, 2015 - A generic Bordeaux from a fantastic vintage, and for only $47cad in BC. (The most expensive place to buy wine) Nose of underbrush, candied plum and blueberry. Palate is nice with notes licorice and mocha.

10/23/15, 7:43 PM - So true, BC is the most expensive place to buy wine. I will also add that the selection in BC is poor.

Download their app and you will find a lot of good stuff there. They will ship it from other stores to your local store. I do it all the time. 12 bottles or just one, they do it.

10/24/15, 9:46 AM - They are constantly shipping wines into the stores so it just goes on the truck. Could take a week but if you do the research in advance you can have a lot of great wine that you would normally never see in your local store. And yes, Alberta is great but it has to be the top stuff or the savings doesn't work out once you factor in the travel expenses. They sell good Bordeaux for 50% less. I.E., 2012 chateau Margaux for $400, BC liquor store it's $900. And tax there is 5% instead of the 15% here. I picked up a case of 2012 insignia, they special ordered it for me and it cost $250 per bottle. If your a club member at phelps you get it for $190 usd which is basically 250 cad. And to be in the club you have to commit to a lot of their other wines.

1/23/16, 5:09 PM - Hey there. I picked up a bottle of this today in Port Coquitlam for $34.99 before taxes. Seems like a better deal then $47, I could be wrong because it's too depressing to study the receipt.

How is the new pricing system better?

To protest we should fill up a cart take it to the cashier and when they tell us our total we just walk.

    Cheers

9/7/16, 8:56 AM - Just for information this was $34.75 in Quebec all in and is being released on Sept 17 in Ontario for $39.95 all in.
