November 26, 2015 - I always fear the worst with these older Vergets, with respect to oxidation, but not the case here at all; pale, straw color, very clear. Great aromatic nose, muddled lemon rind, lanolin, sea shell minerality and subtle orange blossom. A paradox of a palate, fat open mid-palate with rich notes of lemon curd, Crete brûlée, but finishing with a brighter citrus and intense minerality. Really in a good spot.
