December 7, 2015 - The best SB coming out of Napa for under $50 (and this is closer to $30!). Pale white in color; light in body; nose of grapefruit and flint. Tastes of grapefruit, slate, and wet grass. 13.9% alcohol. Intense but energetic, this is more than a tremendous value; it is a fantastic wine - far better than the Spottswoode and Mondavi To Kalon, in my opinion.

4/16/16, 2:17 PM - I completely agree. In good years, I still fine Quintessa's Illumination to be enjoyable, but still a different animal than Massican.
