  December 25, 2015 - Dark almost black. Marvellous nose of blackberries, raisins, figs, prunes, chocolate, then hints of herbaceousness such as laurel and tobacco as well as ripe sweet oranges. Full body bordering on treacle consistency. Palate reflecting the nose with thankfully some citrusy acidity to cut through the rich full weighty sweetness. The thing I love with this wine is the bitterness on the finish which lifts this above many other sweet mavrodaphnes.
