December 28, 2015 - Excellent. The nose exhibited aromas of toffee, black cherry, and black raspberry. On the palate, we found intense peony florals, along with black cherry, raspberry, orange peel, faint earthiness, and just a hint of grape stem. The tannins and acidity were in perfect balance. My wife couldn't stop raving about how good the wine was.

I find Windy Oaks to be, consistently, the best of California Pinots. Grand Cru Burgundy of this quality would cost 4 or 5 times the price.
